Berlin
After moving to Berlin I actually started my career in UX Design.
Here I began my Bachelor of Arts degree and started working in my first UX role as a Product design working student at Verimi.
Next to uni I also started some projects supporting the queer community in the city and found a real passion for my new path.
Working at Verimi
At Verimi I first learned to work in a real software company. I started not knowing how to set up a Teams meeting and have since made my way to feeling confident approaching anyone, stating my opinion and advocating for my team and users.
Here I gained Figma skills, Accessibility knowledge, Testing skills and a deep understanding of communication, facilitation and documentation. I can now consider myself a full member of a great team and have been able to contribute to both company and user goals.
I first git introduced to inclusive design here and found a true passion for Accessibility and designing for all needs.
Queer projects
In Berlin I found my community like nowhere else before, so I started to support local initiatives as soon as I had build the skills to do so. I am currently working on two projects in this area: A uni project "Pride paths", that I decided to bring to life after handing in the assignment and a website for a local collective that runs a FLINTA space in Kreuzberg and needed a website redesign.
Freelancing
I also started freelancing for Miriam Bundel next to my studies and began constructing UX audits alongside her. Through that I gained some more experience working on different topics and various brands through this opportunity.
